The New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) describe what students should know and be able to do at the completion of a 13-year public education. These standards provide the foundation for local district curricula that is used by teachers in the development of their daily lesson plans. The standards provide local school districts with clear and specific benchmarks for student achievement in nine content areas.

Simply put, the standards for our 8th grade class represent our academic goals for the year.  Our class will build upon the standards and skills from previous years, expose students to new standards and skills, and implement these standards and skills in a challenging way.
